What is the difference between hypnotherapy and hypnosis?

Hypnosis is a deep state of relaxation, a trance state or a hyper focused increased state of suggestibility. Hypnotherapy is the practice of using hypnosis for therapeutic purposes. A trained Hypnotherapist helps guide you into a relaxed hypnotic state in order to help you access your subconscious mind, removing any blocks and promote healing!

will i be giving you control of my mind?

No. You are in complete and total control during your sessions. A hypnotherapist can't (and wouldn't want to) control your mind. As your hypnotherapist I help relax you into a hypnotic state and guide you through the experience.

will i remember my session?

Absolutely! You are an active participant during your sessions and you are in complete and total control. Clients often experience remembering their sessions more clearly and vividly than everyday activities. 

can you make me dance like a chicken or quack like a duck?

The short answer is no. Not unless this was an ultimate goal of yours. I cannot make you do anything that you don't want to do. We focus on your specific goals and I customize each session to meet your individual needs. 

what if i cannot be hypnotized?

Everyone can be hypnotized because all hypnosis is self hypnosis.  In fact, the average person experiences hypnosis several times a day while driving, watching tv, using your smartphone, listening to music, practicing yoga and praying or meditating. 

what modalities do you use?

Each client is unique so the modality used varies from client to client and session to session. Common methods include, therapeutic hypnosis, breathing and relaxing techniques, guided imagery, positive suggestion, regression and practical application of tools to help you be your best.

i have trauma in my past, will i have to relive it?

When trauma healing techniques, including regression, is used we do not do so to re-live trauma. We locate the source to release you from the negative event/emotion. I am with you every step of the way ensuring you are supported fully during the healing process. 

What are your qualifications?

I am a certified Master Hypnotherapist through the Hypnotherapy Professional College and I am a certified member of The International Medical & Dental Hypnotherapy Association (IMDHA).

Do you accept insurance?

I am not authorized to bill insurance. However, I will provide you with a detailed receipt including the applicable medical billing code so that you may submit the receipt to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. 

What forms of payment do you accept?

I accept all major credit cards, cash, check, Venmo or Apple Pay.

How do I prepare for my session?

You do not need to do anything to prepare for your session. Dress comfortably and come as you are. I will walk you through the entire process and address any fears or misconceptions you may have.
